Moshe Feldenkrais

Moshe FeldenkraisMoshe Feldenkrais, D.Sc. (1904-1984) was a Russian-born Israeli. He was an internationally known physicist, mechanical engineer, and judo master. The method emerged from Feldenkrais' own knee injury when he began a lifelong investigation into and intense study of human movement and behavior. He not only found relief for his knee but developed a method of using gentle movements to enhance awareness and communication between muscles and the central nervous system.
